Reconnecting an expired social account
Access tokens expire. If we cannot read your posts, reconnect the channel from your profile.
Last reviewed
Instagram and TikTok issue access tokens that expire, and either platform can invalidate one early if you change your password, revoke app access, or change the account type. When that happens we can no longer read your posts, which usually shows up as a submitted post URL that never gets verified.
Reconnect
- Go to Profile → Connected accounts.
- Disconnect the affected channel.
- Connect it again.
For Instagram, when you go through Meta:
- Approve all of the requested permissions. Declining any one of them leaves the connection half-finished.
- Select your Facebook Page by name from the list you are shown.
If Instagram still will not connect
Check inside Instagram that things are still as they should be:
- The account is still a Professional (Business or Creator) account.
- It is still linked to a Facebook Page.
- You are logged into the right Facebook account in your browser — if you manage several, log out of Facebook entirely and start the connection again.
See Why Instagram needs a Professional account for the details.
If it still fails
Email creator.marketing@socialnative.com with your username, the channel you are trying to connect, and a screenshot of where it fails.
