You changed your handle or made a new account

Renaming a channel is fine and syncs automatically. A brand-new channel needs to be connected as a new account.

You renamed an existing channel

No action needed. The connection follows the account rather than the name, so your campaigns and history stay intact. The new handle will appear on your profile the next time your stats sync, which can take up to 48 hours.

You created a brand-new channel

A new Instagram or TikTok account is a different account as far as the platforms are concerned, so it has to be connected as one:

  1. Go to Profile → Connected accounts.
  2. Disconnect the old channel if you no longer use it.
  3. Connect the new one.

Using more than one account

A given Instagram or TikTok account can only be linked to one Social Native creator account at a time. If you try to connect a channel that is already linked elsewhere, you will see "This TikTok account is already linked to another creator" or the Instagram equivalent.

That almost always means you have a second Social Native account from an earlier sign-up. Do not create a third — email creator.marketing@socialnative.com with both email addresses and the handle, and we will merge them so your campaign history and earnings stay in one place.
