What brands can see about you

Your profile, your connected-channel stats, and your history with that brand. Not your address, and not your private data.

Last reviewed

A fair question to ask before filling in a profile. Here is what a brand actually sees.

When they are choosing creators

Matching against a brief shows a brand:

  • Your handle, profile and the channels you have connected.
  • Follower count and engagement, pulled from those channels.
  • The categories you create about, and your general location — usually market or region rather than street address.
  • A fit score against their brief, with the reasoning behind it.

Once you have worked together

You join that brand's roster, and they additionally see:

  • Your history with them — campaigns, what you delivered, when you last worked together, when they last made contact.
  • How your content performed on their campaigns: views, engagements, and which pieces did best.
  • Notes and tags they have written about you. These are the brand's own working notes, private to them, and they persist between campaigns.

It is worth knowing those notes exist. This is a working relationship with a memory — being straightforward and reliable compounds, and so does the opposite.

What they do not see

  • Your mailing address. Used for shipping product, and not exposed to brands on your profile.
  • Your email address and phone number.
  • Your payment details. Your PayPal email is between you and us.
  • The optional targeting fields — ethnicity, sexual orientation, relationship status, whether you have kids. These feed audience matching in aggregate; they are not a panel a brand browses. Every one has a "Prefer not to say" option.
  • Anything from channels you have not connected.
  • Your activity on other brands' campaigns. A brand sees its own roster, not your work for competitors.

Where the numbers come from

Follower and engagement figures come from the channels you connected, through each platform's own API — the same public metrics you see in your own analytics. We never post, message, or act as you, and we do not have your social passwords.

If a connection expires, those numbers stop updating and you look staler than you are. See Reconnecting an expired account.

Changing or removing your data

Update anything from Profile. To have your account and data removed, email creator.marketing@socialnative.com from the address on the account. Depending on where you live you may have further rights over your data; ask and we will tell you what we hold.
