Creator Code of Conduct
What will get an account suspended: reselling gifted product, sharing promo codes, contacting brands directly, and failing to return product.
Last reviewed
Social Native may suspend an account or limit campaign invitations for any of the following.
Reselling gifted product
Product gifted through a campaign is for creating content, not for resale. Listing it on eBay, Poshmark, Vinted, Depop, or any other marketplace forfeits your right to resell and puts your account at risk.
Sharing promotional codes
Promo codes are issued for a specific campaign and a specific creator. Sharing a code with anyone else — inside the network or outside it — is a zero-tolerance issue and forfeits your eligibility for future campaigns.
Contacting brand partners directly
One of the reasons brands work with us is that they do not have to manage creators one by one. Take campaign questions — deadlines, briefs, product, payment — to creator.marketing@socialnative.com rather than to the brand, whether by email, DM, or comment.
Misrepresenting or criticising brand partners
While you are working on a campaign you are an extension of that brand's marketing. That extends past the approved post to how you talk about the brand in comments, Stories, and elsewhere. Do not tie your relationship with Social Native or a brand partner to political activity, social causes, or other commercial arrangements that have not been agreed in advance.
Failing to return product for an incomplete campaign
If you were shipped product and did not deliver approved content before the campaign closed, you may be asked to return it at your own expense. Not returning it results in at minimum a 90-day account suspension. See Product campaigns.
Failing to post without opting out
If you cannot complete a campaign, say so. There is no penalty for withdrawing with notice. There is a penalty for going quiet — brands plan rosters around confirmed creators, and a silent no-show costs them a slot they could have filled.
If we conclude that a creator has breached this code or the platform terms of use, we may suspend payment and disqualify that creator from future campaigns.
How brands reuse your content
Brands often repurpose campaign content across their own marketing — their social channels, paid ads, email, their website. The rights they hold are set out in the terms you accept for each campaign, so read them before you accept.
